Breendonk facility
Haesaerts Intermodal disposes of an integrated
tri-modal terminal in Breendonk, offering a wide range of
services for the chemical industry.
We have a longstanding experience in the
transportation of chemicals and have expanded our basic transport
services, by adding state-of-the-art facilities for testing,
repairing, maintaining and storing tank containers, as well
as for packing and distributing chemicals. Our facility also
operates a modern tank cleaning system.
Equipment
The high-tech intermodal fleet:
Safe truck : “RESPONSIBLE CARE”
on the road from Haesaerts:
To improve operational safety and security,
we have expanded our fleet of tractor units in 2000/2001,
and all our trucks are now equipped with on-board computers.
They are operated by excellently trained drivers, who are
experts in all types of standard road transportation equipment,
including pre- and post-transportation operations.
All our drivers are ADR certified and have
several years of experience in international tank transport.
Our trucks and container chassis are standardly equipped with
built-in compressors and liquid hoses.
Haesaerts Intermodal has invested heavily in the highest level
of tank transportation technology, so as to conform to all
applicable European standards and to be able to deliver safely
at any destination.
This includes our “Flow Management Tool”, which
consists of an IT-based stock and container management database,
in combination with a GPS satellite container-tracking and
tracing system.

TERMINAL YUREVETS (VLADIMIR)
 WEST to EAST : EXPRESS TRAIN Haesaerts Intermodal can guarantee you a seamless, reliable, flexible and continuous delivery service for our Bulk supplies of Isocyanates (MDI/TDI) and Polyols to the industry center in Russia – Yurevets (Vladimir).
We have succeeded in this by starting a direct weekly shuttle train service from Benelux and Germany to the center of the Poly-Urethane industry Yurevets (Vladimir) Rail Terminal.
TERMINAL NOVOMOSKOVSK
 Terminal facility in the middle of a major industrial area. The terminal is connected to St. Petersburg Port and by direct trains to Western Europe (Antwerp, Rotterdam, Duisburg, Ludwigshafen, Slawkow, Lyon, Milano).

Safety : SQAS Road since 1993 and re-assessed in 2008.
Haesaerts Intermodal has great concern for all aspects of
safety. Continuous efforts to improve transport safety is an
important part of the transport.
In order to provide a new stimulus for further reducing
the number of transport accidents, Haesaerts promotes the
principle of Behaviour Based Safety.
BBS is a programme that aims at increasing safety
during road transport by positively influencing the behaviour
of drivers through observation , coaching and communication.

Haesaerts Intermodal has been granted with two Safety Awards 2006, presented annually to the road haulier who has invested most effectively in (road) safety.
In February 2009, 19 chemical transport companies officially declared their participation in Responsible Care at the annual conference of the European Chemical Transport Association, ECTA, in Barcelona, Spain. CEO’s of all 19 ECTA member companies signed a declaration of commitment as well as a Responsible Care implementation agreement.
Haesaerts Intermodal was one of the first companies to state this strong commitment to Responsible Care. At the same time the Responsible Care programme and implementation guide developed by ECTA specifically for the chemical land transport sector was presented.
ISOPA is the European trade association for producers of Diisocyanates and Polyols. Haesaerts is active member of ISOPA and has received driver/operating and handling accreditation for the transport services provided within this segment of the chemical industry. Drivers are individually trained and certified for the handling of IsoCyanates in Bulk and identify themselves with ISOPA licences.
